Chinese Solar Firm to Provide USD 500M Worth of Solar Cells to Egypt

Chinese solar firm LONGi plans to deliver USD 500 million worth of solar cells to Egypt by 2025. Collaborating with international partners like Norway’s Scatec, UAE’s Masdar, and AMEA Power, LONGi aims to bolster its presence in Egypt’s renewable energy market. Projects include 1GW solar cells for Scatec and 1.25GW solar cells for Masdar’s planned 4GW solar plant.
LONGi is also exploring roles in Egypt’s smart city initiatives, such as Ras El-Hekma, focusing on integrating green hydrogen solutions.
