New ‘Robot’ to Explore What Lies Behind Great Pyramid Walls
In collaboration with a British team, this initiative aims to reveal new archaeological discoveries in 2025.
Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass has announced the development of a robot with special capabilities to explore the Great Pyramid of Giza, in collaboration with a British team. This initiative aims to investigate what lies behind the walls of the Great Pyramid and is set to reveal new archaeological discoveries in 2025.
During a seminar titled ‘Secrets of the Pharaohs’ at the Suez Canal Simulation Building in Ismailia, Dr. Hawass highlighted the project's potential to enhance our understanding of the pyramid's structure and history. The robot will access areas that have been previously unexplored, potentially uncovering insights into the construction techniques and purpose of this ancient monument.
Dr. Hawass also stated that a meeting will be held next week to outline a detailed plan for the continuation of archaeological research within the Great Pyramid.
