Directed by Akim Laouar and Kamil Tahiri, the video is filled with cryptic symbolism.

Madd and Snor, two of Morocco’s biggest names in rap, deliver a memorable visual experience in their new music video for ‘Drive’, which was released as part of Madd’s latest full-length album, ‘Sensus’. The video is filled with cryptic symbolism and contrasting atmospheres of brightness and bleakness, all set to a lush and dreamy instrumental backdrop.

Directed by Akim Laouar and Kamil Tahiri, the video features Madd travelling in a touring van along a desert highway, interspersed with snippets of cryptic imagery that disrupt the video’s continuity. Midway through, Snor joins with his verse, delivering melodic flows with finesse, mirroring Madd’s heavily melodic opening. As the video progresses, the atmosphere grows more haunting, with an increasing emphasis on symbolic gestures that leave viewers with more questions than answers.

The track itself defies strict categorization as rap, leaning towards a melodic song structure anchored by Madd’s beautifully sung chorus. Snor adds grit with his more intense delivery. Produced by Spicy Scoop and FEDDINI, the lush instrumental allows both artists to explore these melodic areas resulting in a pop-rap fusion.

‘Sensus’ has been the talk of the Moroccan rap scene since its release, marking Madds’ long-awaited return after a four-year hiatus following his debut record, ‘Black Rose’. ‘Sensus’ highlights Madd’s artistic growth, showcasing his exploration of diverse sonic palettes and reaching a new conceptual and creative peak.
