Shops & Restaurants Will Stay Open Until 2 AM During Ramadan
The official opening hours for commercial establishments has just been announced by the Ministry of Local Development.
The Minister of Local Development has announced the opening and closing times for shops and other commercial establishments during the holy month of Ramadan.
Shops, malls, restaurants, and cafés will close daily at 2 AM, although ‘Take Away’ and 24-hour home delivery services for restaurants and cafes can continue to operate past that time. Workshops in residential areas will close at 10 PM, except for those on main roads and gas stations.
Grocery stores, supermarkets and bakeries are not subject to the aforementioned opening hours, as are fruit and vegetable shops, poultry stores, wholesale markets and pharmacies.
These regulations will be enforced starting Sunday, March 10th, until the end of Eid al-Fitr. The decision aims to strike a balance between business operations and the observance of Ramadan traditions, ensuring essential services continue while respecting the significance of this sacred time.
