New Saudi Airline Riyadh Air to promote Tourism Hub AlUla

AlUla, the ancient oasis city in northwest Saudi Arabia and one of the Kingdom’s major travel hubs, has entered a strategic partnership with Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s ambitious new airline. This collaboration, formalized with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, aims to elevate AlUla’s profile as a premier luxury heritage destination to travelers worldwide.
The partnership will focus on delivering seamless and immersive digital experiences and utilizing data insights to enhance content and product strategies. This approach aims to attract discerning travelers from key global markets, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
“By working together, we can leverage the growing global excitement about AlUla as the Kingdom’s premier luxury boutique heritage destination while also making a significant contribution to the Kingdom’s broader tourism landscape.” Rami Al-Moallim, vice president of destination management and marketing at the Royal Commission for AlUla, tells SceneTraveller.
Celebrating its first anniversary, Riyadh Air, which aims to expand to over 100 destinations by 2030, is expected to contribute significantly to the Kingdom’s non-oil GDP growth and create more than 200,000 jobs globally and locally.
This collaboration marks a significant step in making AlUla a global tourism hotspot, showcasing its rich heritage and cultural significance to a broader audience.
