Flydubai Announces New Flights to Russia’s Sochi

Dubai-based travellers can fly to the seaside city starting June 16th.

Beginning this summer, flydubai, the UAE-based carrier, is introducing a new service that will facilitate direct flights from Dubai to Sochi in Russia.

The seasonal service will be operational from Sunday, June 16th, to Sunday, September 1st.

Passengers have the option to book flydubai flights to the picturesque city on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The departure point will be Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport.

Nestled along the Black Sea, Sochi boasts stunning landscapes with its beaches, forests, and mountains. The city not only features cultural and historical sites but also encompasses captivating nature reserves, including the Sochi Arboretum.

“Over the last few years we have seen consistent demand on our popular seasonal routes such as Batumi, Corfu, Dubrovnik, Mykonos and Santorini and with the start of flights to Sochi, we look forward to offering our passengers more attractive holiday destinations to explore between June and September.” Jeyhun Efendi, senior vice president of commercial operations and e-commerce at flydubai, tells SceneTraveller.

Business Class return fares from Dubai to Sochi begin at AED 10,000, while Economy Class Lite fares start from AED 2,500. For the return journey from Sochi to Dubai, Business Class fares start at USD 2,400 (AED 8,815), and Economy Class Lite fares start from USD 600 (AED 2,203).

Flydubai currently links Dubai to over 125 destinations in 58 countries. Recently, it has expanded its reach in Europe by adding four new destinations to its growing list of routes.
