Everything Egypt’s Amira Adeeb Wore in Her Debut Music Video
New era, new fashion? The Egyptian actress and singer shares how her and Yasmin Kenawi styled her first music video.
After an unexplained social media hiatus, Egypt’s Amira Adeeb resurfaced with her first pop single and its accompanying music video. This new era isn’t just about music, as Adeeb says, “Fashion is a huge part of the pop star lifestyle I’m stepping into.”
The Styling
Teaming up with her stylist, Yasmine Kenawi, Adeeb created a wardrobe straight out of a pop-princess fantasy. For Adeeb, her styling is a direct reflection of her personality, representing her experimental side. “I've always loved acting, so creating different characters for each look was intentional,” Adeeb tells Scene Styled. “It's like playing dress-up, but make it a music video.”
Her Favourite Look
Adeeb's favourite outfit is the double-belt denim dress, a viral piece worn by many popular K-Pop idols. The original dress, the "Chelsea Denim Kilt Mini Dress" by JADED London, perfectly captures the Y2K aesthetic dominating K-Pop right now. It has been spotted on (G)I-DLE’s Shuhua, aespa’s Winter, and LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura. Shuhua first rocked the look in (G)I-DLE's May comeback, "QueenCard."
With its corset-style top and pleated mini skirt, accentuated by two bold belts, the dress is, as JADED London puts it, a "fusion of nostalgic early-2000s silhouettes and modern feminine details.”
“I had no idea that this dress was blowing up with K-Pop stars. Once I realised, I was like, oh my God, I wore it too,” Adeeb shares. To really make the look her own, Kenawi created a custom-made fur hat to match the Giuseppe Zanotti boots Adeeb wore and jazzed it up with watch rings from the Egyptian brand The Witchy Hub.
The Outfits

From a grungy aesthetic with silver accessories to a Y2K look with a striped skirt and electric blue sleeves, and a tennis-inspired outfit embracing the butter-yellow trend, Adeeb channelled diverse aesthetics and trends for this music video. The final look, featuring a heart-embossed shirt from her Be Indie "Kid at Heart" collab, was an “ode to the old Amira.”
