Egyptian producer, DJ and rapper Rozzma is set to debut a one-hour set reimagining Umm Kulthum’s classics in a live show, starring dancer Amie Sultan on May 16th at ZED Park.

Directed by Daniel Panullo, the show, titled ‘Souma’, serves as a tribute to the golden age of Egyptian music. The set offers a futuristic rendition of seven classic songs from Umm Kulthum’s discography, skillfully weaving Qanun, cello and riq arrangements with contemporary electronic music. ‘Souma’ will also feature contemporary and hip-hop dancing choreography by a group of rising local dancers.

You can book your tickets through ZED Park’s website.
