Non-Oil Exports Rise to USD 16.5B in First Five Months of 2024
The news comes as Egypt aims to bolster exports to USD 191 billion by 2026.

Between January 2024 and May 2024,Egypt's non-oil exports reached USD 16.5 billion, showing a 9.8% increase from the same period last year, according to Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir. May saw the highest monthly export performance at USD 3.5 billion.
Key markets for Egyptian exports included Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UAE, Italy and the US, with significant sectors including building materials, food industries, chemicals, engineering goods and ready-made clothing.
Efforts to bolster exports aim to achieve a USD 191 billion target by 2026.
