1.1 Million Tons of Citrus Fruit Exported From Egypt Over Six Months

The sale of citrus fruit in the past six months is valued at around USD 576 million.

Between September 2023 and February 2024, Egypt's agricultural exports of vegetables and fruits totaled approximately 2.82 million tons, valued at around USD 2 billion. Citrus fruits alone accounted for 1.143 million tons, generating USD 576 million, constituting 40% of the export volume and 29% of the total export value.

Top importers of Egyptian produce include Saudi Arabia, Russia and Britain, highlighting Egypt's growing prominence in global agricultural markets.
