Ministry of Electricity Launches Platform to Monitor Solar Panels
The digital platform will allow citizens and stakeholders to send their complaints regarding solar projects through text messages and provide effective solutions.
The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy has recently launched a new digital platform ‘Egypt Solar Energy’, or ‘PV-HUB’, to monitor solar panels across Egypt.
‘Egypt Solar Energy’ is an interactive platform aiming to facilitate communication with consumers and owners of solar-powered buildings through email, and text messages. Through the platform, the ministry will address any complaints and concerns raised by stakeholders and citizens regarding solar projects, ensuring prompt and effective solutions. This will also allow the ministry to generate comprehensive reports and statistics about each solar-powered project across the country.
Developed in collaboration with the Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Agency, the New and Renewable Energy Authority and the Industrial Modernization Center, the platform is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to increase the reliance on renewable energy resources in electricity generation.
