Cairo Opera House Will Soon Allow Free Visits to Abdel Wahab Museum
Cairo Opera House is granting visitors free six-day access to the Abdel Wahab Museum.
In continuation of the Cairo Opera House's commitment to fostering appreciation among younger audiences for one of Egypt's most prolific singers of the 20th century, Mohammed Abdel Wahab, the Cairo Opera House will allow visitors free entrance to the Abdel Wahab Museum between March 9th and March 14th.
The offer celebrates the late singer's birthday, which falls on March 13th. The museum is made up of two wings. The first spotlights Wahab's life, from his childhood beginnings to his rising career, while highlighting his relationship with iconic musical figures like Umm Kulthum and Abdel Halim Hafez. The second wing delves deeper into the roots of Wahab’s homelife, allowing visitors a first glance over his bedroom décor and house furniture, the types of musical instruments he played, his personal office space and overall belongings.
A cinema hall will also be there to feature some of Wahab’s most famous film appearances and his most notable music albums, amongst other works. These visits are available at the Arab Music Institute from 10 AM to 2:30 PM.
