With Saudi Arabia quickly becoming one of the most opulent travel destinations in the region, renowned luxury hospitality brand Marriott International has announced its plans to expand into the country with 40 new hotels, further adding to the ever growing roster in the kingdom.

The new hotels will be built in some of the kingdom’s most unique destinations, including major developmental projects NEOM and Red Sea, as well as the holy cities.

Marriott will also be debuting some of its own luxury brands including Ritz-Carlton, Fairfield Inn and The St. Regis across the country. Two Fairfield Inn hotels are already in the works at the holy city of Makkah, and are set to be Marriott's largest properties worldwide.

Saudi Arabia has been continuing its efforts in alignment with its 2030 vision to develop the kingdom’s tourism sector. Saudi Arabia currently presents 35% of hotel construction in the MENA region with over 40,000 hotels undergoing development.
