Egyptian Gods of Travel Descend Upon the Streets of London

It turns out the Gods were in London to bring news of a new easyJet package to Luxor.

In a travel and tourism plot twist, it turns out that Egyptian Gods, the very same ones whose spirit lives on in our history books, costume shops and video games, do, in fact, walk among us. And by us, we mean London commuters.

What started out as an out-of-the-box publicity stunt by low-cost airline easyJet, who has just announced a new package deal to Luxor with bookings starting from November 11th, quickly turned into a hilariously ethereal spectacle on the streets of the British capital city.

Three mysterious figures in jackal-headed Anubis (God of the afterlife) masks set out to live modern human lives across the metropolis, standing in line at a bus stop, emerging from the Piccadilly Circus underground (a territory we must assume they’re familiar with considering their outfit choices), going on a romantic stroll by the River Thames and, of course, ending up right beneath the oldest London landmark gifted from ancient Egypt, Cleopatra’s Needle.

Through this ancient (and entertaining) tactic, easyJet managed to build excitement for their upcoming Luxor package, which will include a Nile cruise on lavish vessels – such as Iberotel Crown Empress and Jaz Crown Jubilee – with sun decks, swimming pools and bars aplenty.
