AlUla’s Dar Tantora The House Hotel Finally Opens Its Mud-Brick Doors
This 30-room hotel’s mud-brick architecture pays homage to the cultural legacy of the surrounding Old Town.
Saudi Arabia’s crowning jewel of sustainable tourism, AlUla, has added another luxury boutique hotel to its fast-growing collection, and it's now ready to welcome travellers from around the globe.
Located in AlUla’s historic Old Town, Dar Tantora The House Hotel has been constructed by using ancient materials and architectural techniques that mirror the restored mud-brick buildings of the area. The hotel’s architecture is an ode to the surrounding aesthetic that is of deep historical significance to the families, who originally built and inhabited Old Town.
During their stay, guests can partake in daily cultural activities through the hotel like bread making and Saudi coffee making sessions, engage in artisanal craft-making, and savour locally inspired Michelin-star culinary experiences at this 30-room hotel. For those who are more aquatically inclined, there’s also an infinity pool with panoramic oasis views, as well as a spa that offers wellness treatments that make use of ingredients grown in AlUla.
Only a 35 km distance away from AlUla International Airport, Dar Tantora offers convenient access to the AlJadidah Arts District and AlUla's cultural and creative hub. It serves as a base from which guests can explore the historical sites and natural wonders of the ancient AlUla region, including Hegra, Saudi Arabia's inaugural UNESCO World Heritage Site.
