Typically associated with formal tweed in winter, houndstooth takes on a vibrant, summery twist in Ismail’s designs. Bold colours and contemporary cuts breathe new life into this classic pattern, offering an unexpected addition to summer wardrobes.

“I wanted to flip the notions surrounding houndstooth, and create something playful and original.” UAE-Based designer Moshira Ismail tells SceneStyled.
Building on the success of earlier works such as the ‘The Sunset’ and ‘The Galaxy'’' collections, which drew inspiration from nature’s hues and cosmic wonders, The Gem continues to experiment with designs that blend elegance with modern-day savoir faire. With originality as Ismail’s guiding principle, The Gem is all about digging out the sartorial diamonds in the rough.

The flirty collection is popular among those who pre-book their Sketch (London) summer afternoon tea dates six months in advance.
"Whenever I find something that's my style, I look at it like I would look at a gem, and that's where the name 'The Gem' comes from." Ismail shares.
