Cairo Design Week Goes Global With World Design Weeks Membership
Egypt's leading design platform cements its profile and propels the local design industry onto the international stage.
A couple of months after the conclusion of their second edition, Cairo Design Week (CDW) announced its membership in World Design Weeks (WDW), honouring Egypt’s premier design festival with newfound global status.
The WDW features 42 festivals worldwide, attracting over one million annual visitors, partnering with more than 300 organisations and hosting over 1,000 events annually. Its objective is to foster collaboration within the design industry and contribute to the growth of creative economies.
CDW stands as a pivotal hub where creatives and industry luminaries converge, catalysing the growth of the Egyptian design industry. This milestone celebrates Egypt’s homegrown art and design fields, consolidating their presence within the international art scene. It invites the world to explore a fusion of local cultures and innovation through curated events, immersive experiences and dynamic exhibitions across diverse realms of design, such as fashion, architecture, interior decorating and product innovation.
