UAE company Fertiglobe plans to export green ammonia from Egypt to Europe in early 2027. Fertiglobe, a strategic partnership between the ADNOC Group and OCI Global, won a contract to supply green ammonia from Egypt to the European Union worth EUR 397 million, at a rate of EUR 1,000 per ton until 2033.
This agreement is contingent on the completion of the investment agreement between the project partners in Egypt’s green hydrogen initiative. This project will ensure a stable supply of hydrogen for ammonia production.
Fertiglobe will produce green ammonia from green hydrogen, which will be produced in Egypt’s green hydrogen factory. The company intends to produce up to 74 thousand tons of green ammonia.
