Saudi Authorities Issue Commemorative Ramadan Passport Stamp
This stamp welcomes visitors into the holy month just as it welcomes them into the Kingdom.
Right now, visitors to Saudi Arabia are feeling the spirit of Ramadan before they even make it through customs, with the country’s new commemorative Ramadan passport stamp.
More than a collector’s item, this stamp is part of a broader effort to honour and revitalise the cultural heritage, customs, and traditions observed during Ramadan. It was released by the General Directorate of Passports, as well as the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Culture.
The round stamp reads “Mosam Ramadan,” which translates to “Ramadan Season,” and is available to travellers at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport, Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, and Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport.
This is not the only state initiative to celebrate Ramadan throughout Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Culture’s Ramadan Season 1445 program features many activities that connect with Saudi heritage through live cultural, entertainment and sports experiences.
