Ras Al Khaimah Launches Golden Visa Programme for Educators
Ras Al Khaimah has introduced a Golden Visa programme for educators in the emirate, offering long-term residency to teachers, school leaders and principals who meet specific criteria.
Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) has launched a new Golden Visa Programme aimed at educators in both public and private schools across the emirate. The initiative is designed to offer long-term residency to exceptional teachers, school principals and educational leaders who meet specific criteria, allowing them to become self-sponsored residents in the UAE.
The programme is intended to attract and retain top talent in the educational sector and recognizes the critical role that educators play in enhancing the quality of education within the emirate.
The Ras Al Khaimah Golden Visa Programme is open to two key categories of educators: ‘School Leaders’, including principals, vice principals and school directors, and ‘Teachers’, encompassing all qualified educators currently employed in Ras Al Khaimah’s public and private schools.
As the regulatory authority for private sector education in the emirate, RAK DOK has streamlined the application process, establishing clear criteria for eligibility. Applicants must have at least three years of residency and employment in Ras Al Khaimah, hold an advanced degree, and demonstrate a positive impact on their school's performance.
The application process requires applicants to submit key documentation, including an official appointment letter, proof of educational qualifications, evidence of residency and employment, and supporting materials that demonstrate their contributions to improving school performance. Once all necessary documents are submitted, RAK DOK will review the application and confirm eligibility, allowing the educator to proceed with the visa process through the UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.
