The newest season of the popular culinary competition will be filmed in the Saudi eco-city, with a focus on sustainable cuisine.
The eighth season of ‘Top Chef Middle East’ will be filmed in Saudi Arabia’s futuristic city of NEOM. The partnership between NEOM Media Industries and MBC will offer viewers a sneak peek into the city, much of which has remained previously unseen by the global public.
Scheduled to air later in 2024, the show will be filmed in NEOM’s Media Village, and has promised fans ever-more intense culinary challenges, as well as an emphasis on sustainability and ecological stewardship, in line with the ecological ethos underpinning NEOM’s creation. As such, contestants will navigate tasks which focus on the use of locally-sourced ingredients and energy-efficient cooking techniques.
While the hosts have not yet been confirmed, previous seasons of ‘Top Chef Middle East’ have been hosted by Egyptian-Chinese chef and TV personality Bobby Chinn, Lebanese chef Maroun Chedid and TV presenter Mona Mosly.
