Haya Karima Donates EGP 47 Million to Magdi Yacoub Heart Center
The donation includes a paediatric intensive care unit, as well as clinics and a waiting area at the new centre.
The Haya Karima Foundation has announced a strategic collaboration with the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, which includes the establishment of a paediatric intensive care unit, as well as clinics and a waiting area at the new Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Center. The total contribution from the Haya Karima Foundation amounts to EGP 47 million, aimed at serving the most vulnerable patients.
This initiative is part of the broader efforts to enhance cooperation between the two foundations and expand the scope of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work to deliver services to citizens collaboratively.
The new Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Center, which is currently under construction in 6th of October City, spans 36.5 acres. The centre is expected to have a capacity of 120,000 patients and 12,000 surgeries annually, with 60% of the services dedicated to children. Additionally, the centre will offer practical medical training for over 1,750 healthcare professionals through its education and training centre. It will feature a research and innovation department to advance studies in basic, applied, and biomedical sciences, adhering to the highest international medical standards.
