First Look at Asser Yassin's New Netflix Series 'Echoes of the Past'
The new limited series carries themes of revenge, old family wounds and long-hidden secrets.
Egyptian heartthrob Asser Yassin is starring in a new limited Netflix series, ‘Echoes of the Past’, alongside superstars Shereen Reda, Mohamed Tharwat, Huda ElMufti, Sherif Salama, Mahmoud Hemida and Rakeen Saad.
Written by Mohamed El Masry, the series focuses on the emotional and psychological turmoil of the character Yehia (Asser Yassin), as his life is torn apart by the death of his sister. As he mourns his sister, he is also wrongfully accused of her murder and serves a prison sentence of 15 years. When he is finally released, he is fuelled by grief and anger to find the true murderer and, in the process, reopens old family wounds and uncovers long-hidden secrets.
Produced by Charisma Group, and executive producer Mohamed Mashish, the series is expected to be available on Netflix for streaming later in 2024.
