Emirati Senior Citizens Rank Among Happiest in the World
The 2024 World Happiness Report also says that, overall, the UAE ranks as the 22nd happiest country in the world.
According to the recently released 2024 World Happiness Report, which focuses on the happiness of people around the globe and the happiness of different age groups, senior citizens are the happiest group in the UAE. The report also says that, overall, the UAE ranks as the 22nd happiest country in the world.
A national policy launched in 2018 provides senior citizens with comprehensive care systems, discounts, and protection programmes.This policy ensures specialised care for individual senior citizens, and UAE leaders periodically have personal meetings with senior citizens to check on their well-being and ensure their needs are met. Senior citizens in the UAE enjoy an array of services provided by the government, including home-delivered services, priority financial support, and free transport and education.
In addition to this, the Ministry of Health and Prevention have launched numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare services for the elderly, ensuring access to medical facilities and specialised treatments.
