Egyptian Man Visits All Seven World Wonders in Record Time
Magdy Eissa becomes the first Arab and Egyptian to visit them all, beating the previous world record in the process.
Egyptian man Magdy Eissa has set a Guinness World Record for the fastest time to visit the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. The 45-year-old man visited them all in six days, 11 hours and 52 minutes, using only public transport, and becoming the first Egyptian and Arab to break the record.
Eissa began his quick-fire tour with the Great Wall of China, followed by the Taj Mahal in India and the ancient city of Petra in Jordan. He then headed to the Colosseum in Rome, the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, and Machu Picchi in Peru. He ended his speedrun at the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza in Mexico.
After planning his trip for almost one and a half years, Magdy Eissa beat the previous record set by Englishman Jamie McDonald in 2023. He encountered several obstacles, such as sleeping in and missing his bus to Petra, and later missing his flight from Peru to Mexico.
