Egypt Post has temporarily suspended foreign currency withdrawals and purchases via EasyPay cards. The decision was communicated to clients through SMS notifications, leaving users unable to access foreign currency transactions through the widely-used prepaid card offered by Egypt Post offices nationwide.

The EasyPay card has been a convenient option for seamless local and international transactions. Users were allowed daily ATM withdrawals of up to EGP 4,000 and post office withdrawals of up to EGP 35,000. The card had a daily spending limit of EGP 35,000, with no monthly cap, and required a minimum deposit of EGP 100, without any minimum balance requirement. International withdrawals were also available, allowing users to access USD 100 daily and USD 500 monthly, subject to a five percent transfer fee and a fixed EGP 30 charge per transfer.
