Bibliotheca Alexandrina Opens Its Doors to Students During Power Cuts
Amid extended power cuts, Bibliotheca Alexandrina has opened its doors to high school students free of charge.
Bibliotheca Alexandrina has announced free access for students during the national high school exams, also known as Thanaweya Amma exams, which are set to take place until July 20th.
The library will be open from Sunday to Thursday, 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and on Fridays, Saturdays, and official holidays from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, providing a dedicated space for uninterrupted study amidst the on-going power cuts. Access requires students to present their exam seat number.
This decision follows the recent joint statement by the Ministries of Petroleum and Electricity, which announced an extension of daily power cuts across Egypt to three hours until June 29th.
