Al Salam Mosque Inaugurated in Dubai's Al Barsha District
The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, officially inaugurated the Al Salam Mosque in Dubai’s Al Barsha district. The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The mosque’s interior design combines elements of Emirati, Andalusian and Ottoman architectural styles. The Islamic collections housed within the mosque were noted for their reflection of the Emirati architectural spirit, enhanced by influences from the Andalusian and Ottoman periods. The mosque has the capacity to accommodate up to 1,500 worshippers.
As part of the inauguration, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid performed the Maghrib prayers, accompanied by senior officials, heads of various departments, and local worshippers.
