Hit Egyptian Comedy 'El Hareefa' Will Get a Sequel

Directed by Raouf El Sayed and produced by Tarek El Ganainy, "El Hareefa" has grossed EGP 63 million to date.

Months after its successful Egyptian theatrical release, the sports comedy ‘El Hareefa’ has been announced for a sequel. Starring Nour El Nabawy, Ahmed Ghozzi, Kozbara, and Abdelrahman Mohamed, the film follows the story of ‘Majed’ (played by El Nabawy), who is forced to navigate unfamiliar class dynamics at a public school after his family's sudden bankruptcy.

Directed by Raouf El Sayed and produced by Tarek El Ganainy, ‘El Hareefa’ has broken box office records in Egypt for seven consecutive weeks, grossing EGP 63 million to date. El Ganainy recently announced the sequel during a televised appearance, assuring fans that it won't simply rely on the first film's success.
