Dubai Police Force to Receive USD 545 Million Upgrades

The projects aim to expand infrastructure, training and technology to enhance public safety.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has unveiled projects worth USD 545 million to enhance Dubai’s police force. Announced during his visit to the Dubai Police Officers Club, the projects aim to expand infrastructure, training and technology for improved public safety.

Key investments include the AED 1 billion Dubai Police Academy in Al Ruwayyah 1, set to open in 2027. This 155-hectare facility will accommodate 2,500 cadets, and feature a 3.5-kilometre track and an Olympic-sized pool, making it one of the region’s most advanced police training centres.

In Hatta, a new training centre for up to 180 cadets is expected to open in 2025, providing facilities such as a sports field, shooting range and residential accommodations.

The ‘Area 56’ project, a AED 300 million Unified Centre for Crime Prevention and Data Analysis, will integrate AI and predictive policing to enhance crime prevention, traffic safety, and anti-narcotics efforts.

An additional AED 90.9 million will fund the expansion of Bur Dubai Police Station, including a new Smart Police Station (SPS) and upgraded facilities for investigations and enforcement. Finally, a world-first Floating Smart Police Station is being constructed at The World Islands,bringing innovative policing solutions to new areas.
