Saudi Film Commission to Join 81st Venice International Film Festival
The prestigious Venice International Film Festival will take place from August 28th to September 7th.
The Saudi Film Commission has announced its participation in the 81st Venice International Film Festival, set to take place from August 28th to September 7th.
This participation aligns with the Commission's broader strategy to engage in international film festivals, aiming to reinforce Saudi Arabia's position as a global cinema destination while showcasing the Kingdom's rich cultural and cinematic heritage.
A key objective for the Commission in Venice will be to highlight its recent efforts to archive and preserve Saudi and Arab Cinema through the National Film Archive by hosting a roundtable event titled ‘Challenges Facing Modern and Emerging Archives’.
As one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals globally, the Venice International Film Festival is part of the Venice Biennale and is recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations.
