Electric Seagliders Will Be Developed at Masdar City’s SAVI Cluster
The partnership includes workforce development, supply chain integration, and the creation of seaglider delivery infrastructure.
In a step - or, rather, a graceful glide - towards sustainable transportation, Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has partnered with electric seaglider developers REGENT to support the manufacture of electric seagliders at Masdar City’s SAVI cluster.
Presently, REGENT sea gliders can service routes of up to 300 KM using existing battery technology, with the potential to extend to routes of up to 800 KM with next-generation batteries. REGENT plans to leverage the state-of-the-art facilities, services, and regulatory ecosystem provided by the SAVI cluster, collaborating with ADIO to secure local investment and support for expanding their operations in the UAE.
This endeavor includes workforce development, supply chain integration, and the establishment of seaglider delivery infrastructure.
