China is set to host the 2025 Saudi Super Cup from August 14th to the 17th.

The decision to award China the hosting rights has come after intense competition, particularly from Emirati and Qatari contenders. The move to China is part of the Kingdom’s attempts to promote Saudi football to a broader global audience, particularly due to the presence of renowned international football stars in Saudi teams such as Cristiano Ronaldo in Al-Nassr, Neymar Jr. representing Al-Hilal, Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad, and Firmino, captain of Al-Ahli.

The most recent edition of the Saudi Super Cup saw Al-Hilal emerge victorious, defeating Al-Ittihad with a score of four goals to one at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the UAE.

So far, Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr have qualified for the upcoming Super Cup.
