Plans Announced for USD 109 Million Endowment University in Dubai
The endowment for the new university campus comes from the UAE’s AED 1 billion Mothers’ Endowment campaign.
A new USD 109 million endowment university is set to be built in Dubai, funded through the national AED 1 billion Mothers’ Endowment campaign. The AED 400 million university campus will be constructed and developed by Sobha Realty, before being handed over to Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).
The charitable donation behind the project represents one of the biggest of its kind in the Emirates. The Mothers’ Endowment campaign was founded to provide education to those from underprivileged communities, and this new university campus will facilitate the education of thousands of local and regional students to complete their higher education in a world-class institution, offering both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Whilst the construction and development of the campus has been confirmed, the name and management of the university are yet to be announced.
