Egyptian artist Malak Husseiny, also known as Malak released her latest track, ‘Wa2t Shrouk’, as an emotional plea against the atrocities inflicted on the children of Gaza as they’re bombarded by Israeli occupation forces.

Through piano, synth and percussion, the track’s soulful ambience complements Malak’s heartfelt lyrics, capturing the frustration and pain felt by the Palestinian people through lines like, "At times the truth hits us and wakes us up. I had big dreams but they were forced to die because of your injustice." The lyrics continue to express resilience in the face of tragedy and call for a new day to dawn.
