Egyptian Film ‘Dawn Every Day’ to Screen at BFI’s London Film Festival

Egyptian short film ‘Dawn Every Day’ has been selected for participation in BFI’s London Film Festival, set to take place from October 9th to October 20th. The film will be screened on October 18th.

The short film is written and directed by Egyptian director Amir Youssef. Based on a true story, the film revolves around a young boy in the 1950s coming to terms with social norms. The film stars child actors Cleopatra and Selim Mostafa in the lead roles.

‘Dawn Every Day’ premiered at Ireland’s Galway Film Festival, and has since participated in six film festivals. Youssef’s films have previously been screened at numerous international film festivals, with his works having previously been awarded at both the Slamdance Film Festival and the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
