Scene Noise

NTS Radio, a London-based online radio station and media platform, is broadcasting a compelling radio collection that amplifies Palestinian music, poetry, and culture in response to the devastating war in Gaza.

The episodes are curated by a diverse lineup of talented individuals, including Bethlehem-based record label Radio Alhara, artist Jeneen, sonic agent Christina Hazboun, producer Nabihah Iqbal as well as NTS resident DJs Living Gatlato and Nabih Ahiqbal.

The Palestine radio collection offers various episodes curated by these artists, including Gatlato's 'Drill For Palestine,' a sound piece examining how the drill genre integrates different intersectional struggles within its sonic fabric. Additionally, Christina's curated program delves into Palestinian history through experimental music and folk melodies whereas ‘Nile to Bank' by Jeneen and Nihal showcases left-field hip hop, drill, and experimental sounds, highlighting organic crossovers in the Middle East and North Africa.

Radio AlHara's 'Through the Storm, in Your Arms', curated by architect Yousef Anastas offers an avant-garde sonic experience, transcending conventional boundaries. Finally, Nabihah Iqbal's 'Reggae For Palestine' explores global music, inviting listeners to engage with enchanting and diverse musical traditions.
