The Saudi Social Development Bank has reopened applications for its marriage loan program after a temporary suspension for technical upgrades, which were aimed at enhancing the digital customer experience.

In 2024, the bank disbursed SAR 1.6 billion in social loans to support the establishment of Saudi families, including marriage financing loans of up to SAR 60,000. These loans have benefited over 36,000 young men and women.

To further encourage young Saudis to marry, the Social Development Bank has increased the maximum salary limit for the marriage loan from SAR 12,500 to SAR 14,500.

Applicants must meet certain conditions: they should be no older than 70 years and have a clean credit record. Additionally, the marriage must be the applicant's first, and the wife must either be Saudi or from a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country. If she is from outside the GCC, approval from the relevant authority is required.

The Social Development Bank has also resumed several other financing programs, including family loans, following recent technical improvements.
