The Egyptian Ministry of Defense has published a collection of previously confidential documents related to the October 1973 War, shedding new light on Egypt's military strategy and achievements during the war. The Egyptian Ministry of Defense released these rare documents on its official website, which cover various aspects, including preparations for the conflict, breach liquidation, berm destruction, military strategic planning, and the disengagement and withdrawal of Israeli forces. They also feature memoranda from commanders, providing additional context to the decision-making process.
In conversation with Al-Arabiya, Major General Adel Al-Omda, advisor to the Nasser Higher Military Academy, revealed that the timing of the documents' release serves as a reminder of Egypt's historical achievements, showcasing the capabilities of the Egyptian army and its ability to accomplish what may have seemed impossible.
