Club producer, musician and music critic Rami Abadir, known as ABADIR, has teamed up with French producer Nahash for their joint experimental club record ‘Marchadir’. This four-track EP reflects their shared fascination with diverse subjects, from food recipes to '90s rave culture and Arabic pop. As fellow members of SVBCULT, ABADIR and Nahash have merged their distinct approaches to club music, resulting in a unique Franco-Egyptian hybrid sound.

The EP draws on linguistic similarities between Egyptian 3ammya and French, with track titles like ‘Marchadir’, ‘Alaga’ and ‘Cabbout’, representing the common ground they explore both linguistically and musically.

In ‘Marchadir’, Abadir and Nahash craft multi-layered, club-focused tracks deeply influenced by Arabic pop and Eastern instruments. They manipulate tabla percussion and twist it into post-club, mind-bending compositions, layered with sharp vocal chops that cut through the mix, creating vibrant, distorted, bass-heavy soundscapes.

Each track experiments with varying tempos, as the duo explores different rhythmic structures, dub-inspired techniques, and heavy experimentation to forge a scorching set of tracks. The EP also includes two remixes: ‘Tenterlé’ reworked by Ehua and the title track ‘Marchadir’ remixed by Toumba.
