Now that ‘brat summer’ is coming to a close, we’re on the hunt for a new aesthetic to embody our autumnal ventures. Just in time to supply us with a new found -core obsession (see: cottagecore, grungecore, dreamcore etc.), aesthetically-inclined dessert destination Ladurée has announced its autumn dessert menu. Let’s just say the menu has created an entirely new palette for our autumn palates (and Instagram feeds).

First off, Ladurée unveils a seemingly simple dessert that unlocks an entirely novel complex flavour profile: the éclair blackcurrant violet. In purple hues, the dessert features delicate choux pastry filled with luscious blackcurrant confit and crowned with velvety blackcurrant-violet mascarpone cream. To top it all off, a blackcurrant-violent chocolate stripe adorns the éclair.Next, Ladurée invites you to indulge in the bliss of multi-textural crunchy chocolate with Elysée. The dessert dons a rich chocolate and hazelnut biscuit base, layered with creamy chocolate mousse, and topped with a delicate sheet of artisanal dark chocolate, decoratively laying on its side atop the biteable feast.Next, Ladurée invites you to indulge in the bliss of multi-textural crunchy chocolate with Elysée. Who wouldn’t be - after all, they are the ultimate autumn dessert. Ladurée celebrates the pastry extra festively this year, with their new Millefeuille praline, which spans layers of golden, caramelised puff pastry, each infused with velvety praline cream. The dessert is crowned with a layer of crisp almond-hazelnut praline, adding a bit of crunch and flavour to the dreamy treat.I know, you’re already getting dizzy - but there’s one more Ladurée creation on the autumn menu, one which particularly warmly waves goodbye to the florals of summer. Ladurée’s rose grapefruit macaron dishes out a creamy grapefruit crèmeux, smooth rose cream, and a sprinkle of almond-raspberry crumbs in a pearly pink ensemble that’s difficult to resist. Combining floral and citrus notes in layers of delicate rose macarons, a crisp raspberry crunch and vibrant grapefruit jelly, this dessert is particularly enchanting.
