Cash Prize to be Awarded to Best Film on Palestinian Plight at CIFF
The award prize will be given by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s Radio and Television Union.
A monetary prize of EGP 250,000 will be awarded to the best film addressing the Palestinian cause at the upcoming Cairo International Film Festival, scheduled for November 13th to 22nd. The announcement was made during a meeting between the Chairman of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) Radio and Television Union and actor Hussein Fahmy, the President of the Cairo International Film Festival.
In addition, three more awards will be presented for production, scriptwriting, and directing.
The OIC has provided numerous monetary prizes for films addressing the Palestinian struggle at various international and Arab film festivals.
