First Nile Boat Hosts Lively Easter Celebration at Zoé May 6th

There’s something so right about eating Mediterranean-inspired food by the water, so what better way to celebrate Sham El Nessim.

Patrick Davies

Food invariably tastes better by the water. There’s just something about the view, and the sound of lapping waves, that never fails to improve a meal, particularly when the food is inspired by the cuisine of a sea and its surrounding countries. Well luckily there’s somewhere right here in Cairo that caters to that preference for water-adjacent Mediterranean food, and this Easter Monday they’re offering a special ‘Sham El Nessim’ menu alongside live music and entertainment, as well as fun kids activities that include face painting. We are of course talking about Zoé, the Mediterranean restaurant atop the Four Seasons’ First Nile Boat.

Floating on the Western Bank of the Nile, the restaurant is hosting a one-day-only Easter special this May 6th. Chefs will be cooking up a special set menu of mezze, seafood, and Egyptian Easter specialties, available across both the indoor and outdoor areas of the water-borne taverna, with accompanying activities for everyone to enjoy; whoever said that face painting was just for the kids? Maybe Mum wants to look like Spiderman? Maybe Dad wants to have a tasteful butterfly perched on his beard?

Once everyone has been suitably covered in paint (or not), there’ll be live music from musicians, including a guitarist, to provide a soundtrack to your Mediterranean-themed night.
