Saudi Films to Be Screened in Chinese Cinemas for the First Time
The Saudi Film Commission will launch Saudi Film Nights in China from October 21st to the 26th, showcasing Saudi films for the first time in China to promote cultural exchange and local talent.
The Saudi Film Commission announced the launch of Saudi Film Nights in China, the world’s largest cinema market, following successful events in Morocco and Australia. This marks the first time Chinese cinemas will showcase Saudi films, with special screenings scheduled before their official release in theatres.
Set to take place from October 21st to the 26th in Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou, the event will feature a diverse line of Saudi feature films, short films and discussions with filmmakers. The initiative is expected to draw notable figures, journalists and film critics from China, along with cinema enthusiasts.
This initiative intends to foster the growth of the Saudi film industry, highlight local talent and promote cultural exchange and collaboration between Saudi Arabia and China.
