Dubai Fashion Week SS’25 Unveils Stellar Line Up of Global Brands
Dubai Fashion Week announces the brands participating in the SS’25 edition, featuring labels like Micheal Cinco, Lama Jouni and Dima Ayad.
Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) is gearing up to showcase the Spring/Summer 2025 collections from September 1-7 2024, at Dubai Design District (d3). Co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3) and the Arab Fashion Council, the event will feature over 30 brands from across the globe, with participating brands hailing from France, India, Italy and other countries. Along with over 40 exclusive presentations, private dinners and collection launches, DFW is debuting the International Buyers Programme, offering retailers from around the globe the opportunity to enroll in DFW’s exclusive Tier Benefits program.
While the event’s roots trace back to the Arab Fashion Week, inaugurated in 2015, it was in 2023 that Dubai Fashion Week truly blossomed. This strategic rebranding, in partnership with the Dubai Design District, positioned the city as a formidable contender in the world's fashion calendar. Previously, the Arab Fashion Week served as a catalyst, introducing international audiences to the region's design heritage. Now, Dubai Fashion Week builds upon this foundation, offering a broader platform for both established and emerging designers to showcase their creations.
From the designs of local talent like Amato Couture to international participating brands like Iris van Herpen and Jean Paul Gaultier, Dubai Fashion Week has become a melting pot of creativity with themes such as sustainable fashion, the over-consumption of plastic and traditional Arabic elements. The event has become a magnet for fashion influencers and celebrities, solidifying Dubai's status as a fashion destination. “Dubai is the pulsating heart of fashion in the region, and Dubai Fashion Week is disseminating its rhythm globally,” Khadija Al Bastaki, senior vice president of Dubai Design District, says.
The event’s carefully curated schedule showcases the best of both worlds, with the initial three days dedicated to haute couture and the subsequent three days spotlight ready-to-wear collections. Endorsed by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, the governing body of Paris Fashion Week, Dubai Fashion Week is gaining international recognition as Al Bastaki believes and goes on to explain, "The collections and designers displayed on our runway inject diversity into the global fashion dialogue and demonstrate the powerful talent emerging within our region." The event's final day is reserved for private appointments and a buyer's market.
