These Are Cairo’s Most Curious Drink Concoctions

You might have heard of ‘Kathafa’, but have you been properly introduced to ‘Batoot’?

Midnight hours often lead us to the kitchen, and no more faithful companion exists there than a blender. As the youngins on TikTok would say: “You know a blender hates to see me coming…”

While we’ve all experimented with all the flavours, fruits, and syrups out there—some successfully, others… not so much—there are those who’ve made it their bread and butter to serve up some of the most outrageous-sounding combinations and concoctions in the form of an iced-out, refreshing juice. 

So, without further ado, we’ve gathered a list of the most ridiculous-sounding but curiously delicious drinks out there, the weird names they’ve been granted, and where to find them in Cairo.
