EGP 40 Million Phosphate Production Line Built in New Valley
The new line enhances Egypt's position as one of the world's leading phosphate producers.
Engineer Mohamed Abdel Azim, Chairman of Phosphate Misr at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, announced the inauguration of a new phosphate production line at the Abu Tartour site in the New Valley Governorate, named ‘Karasa Imam’.
Created at the cost of EGP 40 million, the Egyptian-made line boasts a production capacity of 250 tons per hour, totaling 750,000 tons annually, aligning with the directives of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawy to expand raw material production lines and utilise national resources effectively.
The production line also includes a crusher at the Abu Tartour plateau, the first of its kind in ore crushing technology. The line contributes to the development of the governorate and bolsters Egypt’s position as one of the world’s leading phosphate producers.
