Sharjah Ruler Reserves Women-Only Beach in Khorfakkan
Emirati women will have complete privacy at the beach, as well as access to a dedicated cafe, medical clinic and a prayer room.

Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, has decreed that a 500-metre beach in the Al Luluyah area of Khorfakkan will be reserved for women only.
The order will provide Emirati women with complete privacy at the beach, and visitors will have access to a dedicated cafe, medical clinic and prayer room onsite.
The decree also includes the construction of a pedestrian bridge between Al Bardi 6 and Al Batha in Khorfakkan in order to facilitate the movement of residents between the women-only beach and the surrounding areas.
