Delta Agriculture Wastewater Treatment, Recycling and Reuse Plant. This record-breaking facility, the world's largest of its kind, has secured not one, but four prestigious Guinness World Records titles.

Developed by a joint venture under the Ministry of Defense's mandate, the New Delta plant boasts an impressive size, spanning a massive 320,600 square meters, earning it the title of the largest water treatment facility. However, its true marvel lies in its immense capacity.

With the ability to treat a staggering 86.8 cubic meters of water per second, it also holds the record for the largest water treatment plant. The innovative construction methods employed at the plant set another record. The extensive use of epoxy coating across a sprawling 520,339 square meters has earned the plant the title of the largest epoxy coating in a building. Finally, the plant houses the largest sludge treatment facility, with a remarkable capacity of 670.01 kilograms per second. Beyond its record-breaking capabilities, the New Delta plant promises significant environmental benefits.

It aims to eliminate pollution from Lake Mariout and the Mediterranean coastline near Alexandria, thereby contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment. The treated water itself will be a valuable resource used for irrigation, industrial purposes, and replenishing groundwater reserves.
