Sharjah Ruler Orders AED 50,000 Compensation for Rain-Damaged Homes

Ruler of Sharjah Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi has announced increased compensation for homeowners affected by recent heavy rainfall in the United Arab Emirates. During a live appearance on Sharjah Radio and Television's Direct Line program, Sheikh Dr. Sultan directed authorities to provide up to AED 50,000 (approximately USD 13,600) per residence.
The total value allocated for these compensations is AED 15,330,000 (USD 4.2 million), which will be distributed to 618 qualifying cases. Sharjah Social Services will handle the immediate distribution of these funds to affected homeowners. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden faced by residents whose homes sustained damage from the recent downpours.
